Jonn advises corporations and high net-worth individuals on diverse tax matters including corporate reorganizations, tax planning for Canadian inbound investments, personal tax planning, partnership and trust planning, corporate tax compliance. Jonn also assists owner-managers and their families with estate and succession planning, and post-mortem tax-minimization planning for deceased taxpayers and their beneficiaries.
When he is not at the office working on clients’ files to reduce their tax burden, Jonn can be found riding his Harley on the open road.
Jonn, born in St. Boniface, Manitoba, received an undergraduate in Geology at the University of Manitoba. After his discharge as an officer in the Canadian Armed Forces, John became a certified high pressure welder and worked on the oil rigs in the Arctic Circle. John’s appetite to learn new and complex things then turned to the world of finance where he pursued his professional accounting designation. Jonn worked in senior financial positions with several large multinational corporations before focusing his attention towards public practice.
Jonn has served as CFO for public listed companies as well as on a several local non-profits boards such as the Chamber of Commerce and the Canadian Mental Health.

Ricardo is a member of Mensa, a non-profit organization open to people who score at the 98th percentile or higher on IQ. In addition to his accountancy, Ricardo obtained a Law degree from Brazil. Ricardo has more than ten years experience in accounting, auditing and taxation, where he has focused on assisting corporate clients with their accounting and tax reporting needs. In addition to preparing financial statements for corporate clients, he has extensive experience in the preparation of corporate and personal tax returns. He is fluent in Portuguese and English.
Orchid comes to JKC Group Accounting with expertise in customer service, management, and bookkeeping. Orchid works closely with a number of JKC Group clients where she takes pride in being the first point of contact and ensuring that clients’ interests are maintained and organized. When she’s not at work you can usually find her outdoors hiking, travelling or looking for new adventures.
Kay holds a Bachelor’s Degree, Electrical Engineering from Hokkaido Institute of Technology and has worked for several years as a professional electrical engineer in Japan. In pursuit of bigger opportunities, he came to Canada to further his studies at University of Prince Edward Island, completing a Bachelor’s degree, Business Administration with Accounting Specialization. Currently Kay is working towards his designation with the Chartered Professional Accountants Association. Kay provides support services to JKC Group in comprehensive tax and financial services for small and medium sized businesses and individuals. He is fluent in Japanese and English.
