Jonn Kunickey
Jonn advises corporations and high net-worth individuals on diverse tax matters including corporate reorganizations, tax planning for Canadian inbound investments, personal tax planning, partnership and trust planning, corporate tax compliance.
Jonn also assists owner-managers and their families with estate and succession planning, and post-mortem tax-minimization planning for deceased taxpayers and their beneficiaries.
When he is not at the office working on clients’ files to reduce their tax burden, Jonn can be found riding his Harley on the open road.
Jonn, born in St. Boniface, Manitoba, received an undergraduate in Geology at the University of Manitoba. After his discharge as an officer in the Canadian Armed Forces, Jonn became a certified high pressure welder and worked on the oil rigs in the Arctic Circle. Jonn’s appetite to learn new and complex things then turned to the world of finance where he pursued his professional accounting designation. Jonn worked in senior financial positions with several large multinational corporations before focusing his attention towards public practice.
Jonn has served as CFO for public listed companies as well as on several local non-profits boards such as the Chamber of Commerce and the Canadian Mental Health.
